The Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) (\xe2\x80\x9cthe Authority\xe2\x80\x9d) leads Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s digital transformation with infocomm media. To do this, IMDA will develop a dynamic digital economy and cohesive digital society, driven by an exceptional infocomm media (ICM) ecosystem \xe2\x80\x93 by developing talent, strengthening business capabilities, and enhancing Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s ICM infrastructure. IMDA also regulates the telecommunications and media sectors to safeguard consumer interests while fostering a pro-business environment, and enhances Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s data protection regime through the Personal Data Protection Commission.

The candidate will work as part of a team to license Service-Based Operators and media services.

Your responsibilities include:

• Administering radiocommunication licences, e.g. for the operation of radiocommunication stations and networks and dealers of telecommunication equipment.
• Reviewing licensing schemes, including licensing of new technologies, e.g. 5G and to monitor industry trends
• Re-designing licensing processes/workflows to improve service delivery and audit controls
• Proposing system and process enhancements for improved service delivery and efficiency

Requirements:

• Background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Engineering (Telecommunication) or equivalent with at least 3 or more years of relevant experiences. Fresh graduates may also apply.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and their business/economic impact. Prior working experience in the telecommunications industry will be an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively and engage with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Good writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
