What the role is:The Family & Early Childhood (FEC) division sits under the Family and Child Development (FCD) Policy Directorate. The FEC division formulates and reviews policies that promote and strengthen families, as well as conducts family research to drive and inform evidence-based policies and programmes.What you will be working on:The officer will work with other stakeholders in the Government to conduct research, formulate and review policies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Study emerging trends and assess its impact on families; \xe2\x80\xa2 Understand Singaporeans\' attitudes and beliefs about the institution of family; \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and execute engagement plans with community stakeholders to build networks and trust, and gain a better understanding of different views towards the institution of family; \xe2\x80\xa2 Continually assess and shape the definition and perception of family in Singapore, while accounting for demographic trends and evolving social norms; \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct robust research and analysis, and engage stakeholders to understand and strengthen the ecosystem of family support services and programmes; \xe2\x80\xa2 Formulate effective policies and programmes, with other agencies to address potential gaps that support various types of families; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Review legislation to ensure it remains relevant in supporting our policies and programmes.What we are looking for:
