Job Summary
  • Assist to develop guidelines for the operations of the Senior Care Centre(s) and community programmes
  • To assist in ensuring efficient functioning of the Senior Care Centres and participate in the creation of service strategies, operational procedures and policy development
  • The community programmes and services include but not limited to:
  • Senior Care Centre
  • Day care for the elderly
  • Dementia day care
  • Day Rehab Centre (run by Community Therapy Services)
  • Assist in development of new programmes or projects under community services: Active aging programmes and services.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage work processes and ensure all Senior Care Centres meet operational efficiency and service quality objectives.
  • Work together with various departments and institutions to provide best quality of care and services.
  • Assist in Senior Care Centres related corporate communications such as editorial work for publications, design of publicity materials, launch and manage social media platforms, organise fund-raising events, attend networking sessions/support community engagement events.
  • Examine current programmes (types, frequencies, mode of delivery, resources utilisation), manpower training and capabilities, and modify programme content and implementation for better participation rate and long-term sustainability.
  • Evaluate established programmes and activities in terms of effectiveness, efficiency and implementation, and make recommendations for Senior Care Centres implementation.
  • Plan for and/or assist in implementation of selected programmes at SASC centres, including arranging for staff training, logistics and manpower support, where necessary.
  • Assist to develop and set up new programmes within Senior Care Centres.
  • Undergo training to be Programme lead in Dementia care.
  • Collaborate with evaluators, such as University or Health Cluster, to evaluate the effectiveness, areas of cost savings, efficient, quality of care etc. of selected programmes.
  • Coordinate and support research collaborations with Senior Care Centres.
  • Assist in volunteer management and recruitment, which includes developing SASC volunteer management structure, guidelines and handbook, engaging potential volunteers and matching them to respective centres.
  • Oversee programmes at all Senior Care Centres.
  • Carry out other responsibilities and duties as assigned from time to time, e.g. cover duties of centre manager or executive staff in his/her absence.
Job Requirements
  • Recognized general degree or equivalent from a recognized university is required. Additional qualification in a healthcare discipline, eg. nursing or allied health would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare or related field.
  • Has experience and passion to pioneer community care services in support of the national focus on care integration for the aging population.
  • Good knowledge of the health care environment and service processes is important. Experience in community care provision is an advantage.
  • Highly motivated and able to maintain good interpersonal relationships and in collaboration with various partners in the healthcare system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work well with all departments.
  • Enjoys challenges and able to work with tight timelines when needed.
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
