Job Description
Position: Assistant Manager, Warehouse
:
This position will be based under our specialty group, NIC Components located at 5 Tai Seng Drive.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for the day-to-day functions of Warehouse and Logistics, ensuring goals are met or exceeded.
- Manage personnel - hiring, developing, workflow scheduling and resource allocation within business group. Strategic planning and process improvement through CPI or Lean principles.
- Responds to internal and external customer inquiries.
- Responsible for performance efficiency, time worked, quality reporting and improvement, performance metrics. Works with manager to determine courses of action for budgetary responsibility.
- Trains and acts as an informal mentor to junior members of supervisory staff. Assists supervisors in developing the technical skills necessary to make informed decisions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Diploma / Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar job function in an established organization
- Experience within the electronics or high technology industry is an advantage
- Experience leading a team is an advantage
