Job Description


We are looking for an individual to join our team:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist to set Group WHS systems and ensure business units\' adherence to policies and procedures for Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) ensuring consistent implementation across various markets and business units (International and SingPost Centre property)
  • Assist to liaise with local authorities for all matters, including but not limited to Workplace Safety and Health in Singapore and act as a technical advisory to those in other countries of International business unit.
  • Be knowledgeable of and ensure the business complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to WSH and conduct safety inspections on a regular scheduled basis.
  • Ensure WHS is aligned to business strategies and operations for operational excellence, sales lead conversion and safety in supply chain alignment.
  • Understand WHS trends and best in class approach to safety ensuring Workplace Health and Safety and that of public stakeholders\' safety.
  • Be the WHS technical expertise go-to person for the business for advice ranging from WHS regulations, standards such as bizSAFE/ ISO45001 and take the lead for such certification aspirations.
  • Work with the various markets to plan for WHS related promotional campaigns and communications with relevant teams building a strong safety awareness.
  • Prepare and interpret WHS related data, carry out incident root cause analysis, timely reporting and hazard elimination matters with the operations and the management
  • Ensure proper documentation are in place satisfying internal procedural requirements as well as those required by laws and regulations and respective certifications.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/ Degree qualified person in the field of engineering, occupational Safety Management with relevant WHS related certifications (e.g. Work at Height, Fire Safety Manager, Workplace Safety Officer, ECO)
  • 4-5 years of experience in the area of Workplace Health and Safety Management preferably in the postal/e-Commerce logistics/logistics industry.
  • Good working knowledge on the application of bizSAFE, ISO45001 and global safety standards and frameworks
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • High level of analytical problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on/ pragmatic/ \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d mentality
