Description of Division: As part of the RPG family, the Children in Care Service (CIC) oversees the provision of out-of-home care options such as foster care, kinship care or children\'s homes to vulnerable children. CIC also conducts social investigation to assess the suitability of adoption applicants and safeguards the wellbeing of the child and their families. CIC works closely with various partners to provide a continuum of out-of-home care sector, and to grow and develop essential capabilities and services to strengthen the care options for these children and help them to grow up to become contributing members of society.What you will be working on:Brief description of Job Scope: Reporting to the Manager/Senior Manager, your role is to: \xe2\x80\xa2 assess the suitability of adoption applicants and investigate youths referred by the Courts to determine if a Family Guidance Order is necessary. \xe2\x80\xa2 work in collaboration with a network of sector professionals. Responsibilities: As an Officer, you will: \xe2\x80\xa2 conduct social investigations and day-to-day assessments, \xe2\x80\xa2 prepare social reports and affidavits to the Court, \xe2\x80\xa2 contribute meaningfully to multi-disciplinary case discussions.What we are looking for:Functional/Technical Competencies \xe2\x80\xa2 Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline, \xe2\x80\xa2 Have strong communications, listening, coordination, interpersonal and people management skills to effectively engage clients and internal/external stakeholders \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in working with vulnerable children and families or with investigative experience in social service settings is an added advantage.
