What the role is:Your primary role is to assist the management of the Corporation\'s investment programmes, comprising an internally managed bond portfolio and externally managed multi-asset portfolios.What you will be working on:\xef\x82\xa7 Keep abreast with macroeconomic and market developments; research and propose strategic investment ideas to enhance the risk adjusted return of the investment programmes \xef\x82\xa7 Monitor and report portfolio performance for each investment programme to internal management and the Corporation\'s Investment Committee and Board \xef\x82\xa7 Perform periodic reviews of each investment programme\'s investment policy statement, guidelines, and strategic asset allocation \xef\x82\xa7 Maintain databases on portfolio valuations, transactions, and market data \xef\x82\xa7 Propose, prepare, and staff recommendation memoranda to the Corporation\'s Investment Committee and Board \xef\x82\xa7 Carry out corporate projects and initiatives as assigned For the internally managed portfolio \xef\x82\xa7 Perform periodic credit analysis and monitoring of bond issuers; identify and recommend securities appropriate for the mandate \xef\x82\xa7 Prepare transaction memoranda, liaise with bond dealers and execute transactions via Bloomberg \xef\x82\xa7 Work closely with the Treasury team to optimise short- and medium-term returns on cash reserves, while balancing liquidity needs For externally managed portfolios \xef\x82\xa7 Monitor and review portfolio performance of external fund managers and their compliance with contractual, compliance, fiduciary and investment responsibilities \xef\x82\xa7 Coordinate selection, due diligence, procurement, and onboarding of external fund managers and third party service providers (e.g., custodian) \xef\x82\xa7 Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day communications between internal and external parties on all issues \xef\x82\xa7 Manage and resolve operational matters such as the reconciliation of valuation reports, tax filings, proxy voting, certification and payment of feesWhat we are looking for:\xef\x82\xa7 Background in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, investment management or equivalent.
