What you will be working on:
Brief description of Job Scope: As an Officer, you will contribute to the department's initiatives in assisting the Authorised Adoption Agencies (AAA)s in navigating the landscape changes with the onset of the new Adoption of Children Act (ACA) 2022. As needed, you will support the team in planning for, reviewing and managing the Family Guidance Order (FGO) programme. You will be part of a team that administratively supports the team that engages the social service agencies (SSAs) who provide adoption and Pre-FGO services. You will also be involved in change management and engagement efforts through digitalisation of services. You will have to manage contracts; handle all administrative and financial matters for the department and work with IT systems to ensure appropriate data management for the adoption and FGO services. Responsibilities: Your duties include but will not be limited to the following: a) Implement and administer contracts with our partners in the social service sector. This includes staffing all necessary submissions and conducting presentations to ensure deliverables are in place and in a timely manner; b) Review and analyse data to support operational process and service delivery; c) Assist in organising and overseeing the corporate support functions for the Department. This includes managing budget and related matters; any corporate support and office administration matters d) Support all system related matters such as maintenance, enhancements and digitalisation processes.

Functional/Technical Competencies Tertiary qualifications Proficiency with finance or systems management will be an advantage Experience in digital transformation, service innovation, customer service journey work will be a further advantage Generic Competencies Strong analytical, writing, communication, problem solving skills with a deep passion to safeguard the welfare of children. Self- directed, forward thinking, adaptive to change and able to work in a fast-paced setting. Excellent time management skills, and an ability to influence change and work well with others. Able to work calmly in highly stressful situations and environment Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with people Be tenacious and resilient in handling difficult situations/people High level of emotional resilience Good people management, project management, strategic thinking and problem solving skills Basic knowledge of data analysis Ability to undertake both macro perspectives and in-depth analysis Demonstrate personal integrity and accountability
