Job Description


What the role is:The candidate will assist to review and implement various regulatory frameworks to support IMDA\'s vision of a vibrant, world class info-communications sector that drives the economy, bonds communities and powers a Smart Nation.Responsibilities:Quality of Service

  • Formulate, review, implement and enforce the quality of service policy and regulatory frameworks, on the telecommunications, broadcast and postal services in Singapore, with the objective of ensuring that there is good quality of services for consumers and businesses.
  • Analyse, review and recommend methods of monitoring, and measuring quality of service.
  • Steer multi-government agencies projects or collaborations to facilitate infrastructure deployment to improve the quality of service for telecommunications, broadcast and post services.
Consumer Policy
  • Develop and review consumer policy frameworks and initiatives for the telecommunications, media and post sectors, with the objective of ensuring that they remain relevant in protecting consumers\' interests, while also considering IMDA\'s strategic objectives, WOG perspectives, and impact on industry competitiveness
  • Implement policy and regulatory frameworks, including the Publication of Statistics on Telecommunication Service Providers\' Handling of Consumer Feedback
  • Assess potential breaches of regulatory frameworks, including the Telecommunications and Media Competition Code
  • Partner IMDA divisions to handle consumer complaints on telecommunications, media and postal matters
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor\'s Degree, preferably in Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, Business, or related-areas.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the telecommunications, media and postal sectors, or relevant sectors. Candidates with no prior experience may also apply.
  • Strong ability to understand communication networks and technical aspects of such networks
  • Familiarity with regulatory concepts and frameworks, and policy formulation process would be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication skills, with good command of English
