What the role is:The Legal Service Commission (\xe2\x80\x9cLSC\xe2\x80\x9d) is the appointing authority for all Legal Service Officers (\xe2\x80\x9cLSOs\xe2\x80\x9d) in the Singapore Legal Service. The LSC Secretariat supports the functions of the LSC and is the policy human resource arm for the Singapore Legal Service. The functions we are responsible for include recruitment and establishment, assessment and ranking, talent development, succession planning, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and career development, discipline and exit management. We work closely with the Attorney-General\'s Chambers, the Singapore Courts and Ministries and Statutory Boards where Legal Service Officers are posted/seconded to deliver effective people management/development strategies and programmes.What you will be working on:You will be part of a team that leads the implementation of a competency-based approach to performance management and effective performance management programmes and initiatives. You will also support the LSC Secretariat to implement HR policies and strategies and your responsibilities may include one or more of the following areas: \xe2\x80\xa2 recruitment (including formulation, review and implementation of strategies for selection and outreach/green harvesting programmes); \xe2\x80\xa2 corporate communications (including events management, formulation and execution of marketing and branding strategies through the corporate websites/publications); \xe2\x80\xa2 career development (including formulation, review and implementation of scholarship frameworks, talent development and succession initiatives); \xe2\x80\xa2 compensation & benefits (including formulation, review and implementation of manpower-budget frameworks, payroll & benefits administration and remuneration reviews) ;and \xe2\x80\xa2 finance, admin & procurement (including review and strengthening of the robustness of procurement and finance procedures/guidelines).What we are looking for:Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 preferably with 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience. Prior work experience in Human Resource in the Public Sector and interest in Human Resource will be an advantage; \xe2\x80\xa2 applicants with no relevant work experience may apply; \xe2\x80\xa2 good interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of English and strong organisation skills; \xe2\x80\xa2 meticulous and detail-oriented in operational work; \xe2\x80\xa2 proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word); and \xe2\x80\xa2 prior experience in Power Query and VBA will be an advantage.
