About the Roles

We are seeking an

Assistant Purchasing Officer

to join a leading

manufacturer specializing in electrical power distribution, control, and automation systems

, located at

Tuas Crescent

. This is a

contract role (4-6 months)

with

working hours from Monday to Friday, 8.15am - 5.45pm

, offering a

basic salary of up to $3,500

and

company transport provided

. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement and supplier coordination within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Purchase materials locally and internationally according to assigned product lists and prepare purchase orders. Track and update shipment and delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time for production. Provide administrative and coordination support to the Purchasing Manager and Officer. Prepare monthly purchasing reports and maintain updated supplier and vendor records. Assist in sourcing, negotiating, expediting, and following up on procurement activities. Organize, maintain, and file purchasing documentation systematically. Ensure the purchasing office remains clean, organized, and in compliance with company standards. Follow established

Quality Management System (QMS)

procedures in all procurement activities. Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by supervisors.

What We're Looking For

Minimum

O Level qualification

. At least

1 year of purchasing experience

in a manufacturing or electrical service environment, preferably involving

electrical components and spare parts

. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
