Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a leadership role that oversees operations and customer experience, and manages the team of service and kitchen crew at Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique and Sandwich Bar with the goal of delivering delightful experiences to every customer, according to company\xe2\x80\x99s standards. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage outlet operations, cash control, shift management and sales targets
• Manage cost and plan inventory
• Guide continuous improvement activities, review processes, identify opportunities for innovation
• Monitor and maintain hygiene, cleanliness, safety and standards
• Take charge and manage customer experience and service standards
• Manage a a high-performance team, develop and effectively retain team talents
• Drive recruitment and training of new staff
• Create a nurturing environment through positive language, respect and feedback
• Undertake ad-hoc duties as reasonably assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or higher
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, word) & Google Suites (google sheet, doc)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a supervisory role
• Shift work (5-day work week, including weekends & Public Holidays)
