Make your mark as an Assistant Sales Manager for Boskalis Heavy Marine Transport! Being the linking pin for the sales department you play an essential role in winning commercial contracts for our fleet of Heavy Marine Transport vessels. You will team-up with Sales Manager(s) and together you start with identifying your clients needs. It is then your responsibility to accurately performed detailed calculations and generate quality proposals.

To deliver a commercially attractive proposal, you will take into account an array of functional aspects - operational, technical, legal and financial. Throughout this process, you will be the key link between the client, sales team, Boskalis offices around the globe (Houston, Shanghai, Korea, Japan and locally Singapore) and Boskalis\' HQ in Papendrecht, the Netherlands as well as the internal organization (main stakeholders; operations, legal, engineering, finance). An integral role that requires effective communication with internal and external parties, located locally and internationally.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of various cost budgeting calculation systems, internal company templates, and BIMCO contract forms.
  • Supporting Business Development (BD), Sales and Tender Managers in the development of outlines, storyboarding and content strategies for proposals, qualifications, market surveys and presentations, including budgeting, risk analysis, scheduling, and coordinating of meetings and internal reviews, as well as any client engagement if required.
  • Coordinating, preparing and organizing sales presentations, prospect / project documentation.
  • Ensure the required pre-/post- tender and enquiry deliverables are completed and review in consultation with Sales/BD Managers at respective checkpoints during the enquiry-to-contract process.
  • Ensure enquiries and sales opportunities are captured and maintained in the Boskalis CRM system in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining a proficient level of document-control and organization of tenders-related documents.
Your qualities
  • A completed Technical or Business (Administration) study.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • An interest in engineering and the typical Heavy Cargo projects.
  • International working experience within a company with global presence. Preferable within the offshore or chartering industry.
  • You are well organized in your work, a team player and you have a helicopter view.

Extra information
  • Where will you work: You will be part of the Heavy Marine Transport sales team in Singapore. You will report to the Regional Manager and also to the Manager Sales Support in Papendrecht, The Netherlands. Our sales department within the Boskalis Singapore office consist of the Regional Manager and Sales Manager.
  • Full-time: This position is a full-time job (40 hours a week).
