Job Description




The Business Analyst\'s job functions would include financial planning and analysis functions such as the preparation of budget, forecast and long-term projections, management reporting and benchmarking and financial performance management. Controllership functions include journal posting, balance sheet reviews, dormant account reviews, enterprise structure review, account reconciliation, risk control matrix-related work, WBS creation & closure, grant claim submission & audit. This role also requires you to work closely with the team to actively manage financial data through data-driven techniques and tools. He/she will be responsible for designing and implementing a data architecture that is able to provide reliable data repository and clean data for meaningful financial analysis, enhance efficiency of financial processes. Strong technology, analytical and communication skills are must-have traits.

The primary responsibilities are: * Budgeting & Reporting

Review budgeting, forecast and long-term projections and to monitor department\'s budgeted expenditure and ensure that it is in line with directives from the management, with the objective of driving positive financial performance. Review and presentation of financial & management reporting for Senior Management or Board. * Financial Governance, Financial Risk Management and Control

Drive risk management around financial processes, ensuring that the financial processes are well-controlled and efficient. Review Risk Control Matrix in a timely manner. * Controllership, grant claims submission and audit

Duties include review of journal posting, balance sheet schedule, dormant accounts, enterprise structure, account reconciliation, WBS creation & closure, grant claim submission & audit (statutory & grant). * Dashboards

Design interactive dashboards and reports for data visualization and informed decision-making. To develop and monitor financial metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. * Process improvement and documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or information technology
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience, preferably with audit experience and business analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to set priorities, complete work with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with senior decision makers
  • Diplomatic in handling internal and external stakeholders, with proven track record in building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word, good working knowledge of SAP S4HANA
  • Excellent team player who demonstrates flexibility and embraces collaboration.
