COMPANY DESCRIPTION Red Shield Industries (RSI) is the social enterprise arm of The Salvation Army. By re-using, recycling and restoring donations in kind from the public and corporations, it generates income through its Family Stores to support our mission to provide holistic care to the community. Partnering with the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), RSI opened its door for IMH\xe2\x80\x99s clients to work at the RSI Pick n Choose Store. Working closely with local and international organisations, RSI engages them in meaningful programmes for their corporate social responsibility initiatives. https://www.salvationarmy.org/singapore/red_shield_industries RESPONSIBILITIES About the Job The Assistant Supervisor supports the mission of the Red Shield Industries, a social enterprise, highly regarded by public for its excellent delivery of donation in kind service which is sensitive and responsive to the community welfare needs and meeting the funding needs of The Salvation Army. It is expected that the Assistant Supervisor will provide leadership to the sales team and ensure efficient supervision of the Family Thrift Stores with established quality, environment and safety practices with attention to quality and customer service, environment and safety practices.
Job Responsibilities

  • Check daily attendance and conduct morning briefing
  • Provide hands on supervision to all staff and volunteers working in the respective store
  • Liaise closely with Assistant Store Manager or designated managers to develop local promotion, marketing and advertising ideas and strategies
  • Assist in developing gross sales revenue to meet and exceed business target plans
  • Assist in organizing occasional jumble sales projects for external parties
  • Carry out periodical checks on Cashier\'s X report and ensure receipts are issued for all purchases.
  • To do console Z report for end of day closing
  • Underake any projects and specific duties as assigned by managment from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Retail
  • 3-5 year experience in Retail with Supervisory / management function
  • Able to attend to queries and complaints
  • Well groom with a courteous disposition
  • Required strong communication skills, good team player, highly self-motivated
OTHER INFORMATION Working Hours
  • Under normal circumstances the hours of duty will be as follows:
  • 5.5 days week / 44 hours week
  • Monday to Saturday (including PH) - 9000 hours to 1800 hours daily (includes 1 hour break)
