Role Description:

As the Assistant Trade Management Manager, you are responsible in assisting the Trade Management Manager for the efficient running of a Trade Management team, and their associated functions. You will be expected to gain a good understanding of the day-to-day activities and processes of the team, and of the products they support, whilst requiring support and input on more complex issues. You must ensure that all tasks required of the team, are completed in a timely and efficient manner, whilst ensuring that the team proactively manages the risk and control environment, providing a First Line of Defence to our business.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure OTC trades are processed in a timely manner
• Act as escalation point for complex queries
• Take proactive approach to coaching and mentoring team members
• Assist in designing and implementing changes to procedures and workflows as appropriate
• Ensure team is performing duties in line with all compliance and risk policies
• Ensure daily checks are being performed

Skills and Experience:

• Skilled in Microsoft application software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc).
• Experience with Futures/Exchange/Clearing systems
• Strong communications skills, both verbally and orally
• An analytical and logical approach to problem solving
• Previous experience in Middle Office/Back Office role
• Provide management oversight to the team
• Act as escalation point for stakeholders
• Ensure procedures and policies are adhered to and updated when required
• Provide regular updates to management on important issues impacting Operations
• Work closely with I.T. to ensure systems are operational
