Duties & Responsibilities

Risk Management

  • Lead the ongoing development and refinement of the Integrated Assurance Framework as defined by the Group, incorporating industry-leading practices, policies, and procedures. Ensure seamless adoption and integration within our operations in Singapore and other markets.
  • Collaborate with business units to review, and manage comprehensive risk and control registers. Evaluate the effectiveness of controls and propose improvements as needed.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to control, risk, and process owners in Singapore and other markets, fostering a consistent understanding of best practices and risk management principles.
  • Utilize advanced risk analytics to assess the return on investment for various risk mitigation strategies. Offer insightful recommendations for risk reduction, process enhancement, and remediation to senior management and functional leaders.
  • Drive reporting and presentation efforts for pertinent governance meetings, delivering clear updates on risk and compliance initiatives. Contribute to strategic discussions related to risk mitigation and business resilience.
  • Collaborate on regional oversight activities, contributing to the analysis and resolution of thematic risk issues across multiple markets of operation.
Compliance
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive compliance program that aligns our company processes with relevant local regulatory requirements (e.g., IRAS, MOM, PDP). Continuously monitor and assess compliance objectives, identifying areas for process enhancement.
  • Champion a culture of risk and compliance throughout the organization, raising awareness of regulatory obligations and fostering a sense of collective responsibility.
  • Conduct thorough Line 2 operational and regulatory reviews, evaluating our adherence to legal and regulatory standards. Present findings and recommendations to enhance our compliance posture.
  • Engage proactively with business units to provide expert regulatory advice and support, ensuring effective navigation of compliance requirements in daily operations.
  • Stay vigilant about changes in applicable laws and regulations, analyzing their impact on our operations, and disseminating crucial information to relevant stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Law or related fields
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in compliance / risk management / internal controls / internal audit
  • Conceptual skills including quantitative methods for risk management and experience with internal control environments and frameworks (e.g. COSO, COBIT)
  • Knowledge of various functional areas, including Finance, Internal Controls, Legal, IT Security and Compliance
  • Ability to lead complex projects across the markets or Group
  • Ability to lead/guide teams in conducting review of risk assessments
  • Excellent information technology skills to understand business requirements and workflows
  • Ability to take a holistic view on issues faced, possessing strong analytical, financial and problem solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Process-oriented and problem-solving attitude as well as strong organizational skills and hands-on mentality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, possess ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
  • Resilient, highly adaptable to dynamic work environments, with strong ability to influence and garner support and cooperation
  • Self-driven and energetic, ability to work independently and equally well as a team player when the situation arises
