Job Purpose

To strategise, formulate, manage and implement an integrated cohesive and consistent branding for NUS Law across all communication platforms; to coordinate and advise on integrated brand communications for all research centres and divisions under NUS Law; to oversee and implement the external and internal communications plan for NUS Law working in consultation with the Decanal Team; to build relevant institutional and individual capabilities for strategic brand communications for NUS Law.

• Provide leadership in the area of strategic communications and brand management for NUS Law; will be reporting to Associate Dean (and to the Dean).
• Identify and develop communication synergies between Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Research divisions in NUS Law, as well as with the research centres.
• Manage NUS Law's corporate media and public relations, including strategising appropriate international and local media stories and coverage on NUS Law.
• Develop and implement an "e-brand management" strategy for NUS Law, that includes leveraging on social media platforms and the NUS Law website.
• Manage and produce corporate collaterals for NUS Law, and to provide oversight and advice on all other above-the-line and below-the-line communications of NUS Law (including its research centres).
• Manage and advise on all communications aspects of corporate events relating to NUS Law (for example, Open House and Commencement).
• Provide advice on and manage public communications of key events organised by NUS Law research centres (including media releases), and train centre managers on basics of public communications and brand management.
• Oversee and implement any other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned by the Deanery.

Qualifications

• Good university degree in mass communication, journalism, marketing or related disciplines.
• At least 10 to 12 years of experience in brand management, public relations, corporate communications, journalism, or related areas.
• Demonstrates expert content knowledge in the area of integrated brand communications (which includes corporate identity management, media relations, marketing, internal communications).
• Excellent English writing and editing skills, a versatile storyteller able to craft content for different platforms and audiences.
• A keen eye for design and aesthetic, and a good understanding of how to harness this in communications.
• Prior experience in a law/professional services firm is an advantage, as is proficiency in web/desktop publishing software.
• Detail-oriented and strong proofreading capability.
• A track record of developing innovative solutions and proven leadership of teams.
• Passionate, energetic and enjoys challenges.
• Results-oriented and excellent people-management skills.
• Able to interact well with all levels.
• A good coach.
