We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional to join our team as the Associate Director, Compliance (Payments). The Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Group\'s compliance payments framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and implementing effective compliance programs and processes. This role requires a strong understanding of the payments industry, the Asean regulatory landscape, and the ability to lead and develop a team.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management, legal, risk management, compliance (lending) and operations, to ensure that compliance-payment is integrated into all relevant business activities..

What you will do:
  • Develop and maintain an effective compliance framework for our payments-related franchise and ensure the Group\'s adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and implement payment-compliance policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate regulatory risks and promote ethical behavior within the organization.
  • Conduct regular assessments and monitor changes in payments-related regulatory requirements to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation of regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders and facilitate training programs to promote awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Lead and manage the payments-compliance team, including hiring, training, and mentoring team members, to ensure a high level of competence and effectiveness in compliance operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of new products, services, or business initiatives on compliance requirements and ensure proper integration of compliance controls.
  • Participate and lead in audits, inspections, and regulatory examinations on compliance related topics, with a focus on payments-compliance.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant regulatory authorities, responding to inquiries and requests, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting as required.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the payments industry, regulatory changes, and emerging compliance risks, and provide proactive guidance and recommendations to senior management.
  • Foster a strong compliance culture within the organization by promoting ethical behavior, integrity, and accountability at all levels.
Requirements:

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, law, business administration, etc.).
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in compliance management with a several years of experience in the payments industry or a related field, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ASEAN regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices for payments companies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team, set clear objectives, and drive performance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex compliance issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing regulatory relationships and engagements.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) or Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) are highly desirable.
