Introduction:

We are recruiting an associate digital director for our Singapore office to grow our digital projects portfolio in the region and manage our Singapore and Asia Pacific digital client base. This is an opportunity open to seasoned professionals who have over 10 years of digital advertising and web publishing experience. As an associate digital director, you will manage the digital delivery, production and media advertising team that delivers bespoke online solutions for our commercial and government clients. You will also be a part of a team that’s responsible for growing our digital sales and advertising business in Singapore and Asia Pacific. Accountabilities:
In the role you would be expected to:

  • Manage the delivery of multiple digital website projects and media advertising campaigns for Economist Impact clients in Singapore and Asia Pacific, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and excellent performance via key performance indicators
  • Ensure best practices of online web and mobile publishing and advertising in the region through regional or international award recognitions of Economist Impact digital projects
  • Attend in-person client presentations in Singapore and other Asia Pacific markets as needed
  • Manage clients’ digital campaign requirements, change requests, and campaign results to facilitate continued relationship / digital campaign renewal
  • Provide utmost digital and media support to the Economist Impact sales team in the region
  • Manage internal digital team and working relationship with 3rd-party creative external agencies smoothly to deliver successful websites and campaigns
  • Train producers and designers and 3rd-party developers on web best practices
  • Manage hosting infrastructure and uptime of web campaign servers in the region
  • Ensure Economist Impact guidelines and branding are enforced on relevant projects and campaigns
  • Support executive/senior stakeholders of company-wide digital / media growth initiatives
  • Participate and contribute in the company’s growth initiatives
  • Keep abreast with new trends in website and mobile development and advertising trends
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in the role you must have:
  • 10+ years experience in digital delivery/digital project management and online advertising in the Asia Pacific region (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, India, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan)
  • Track record of successful digital online website campaigns
  • International award recognitions
  • 10+ years team management experience
  • Web design, web development, API and integration/scripts experience, and overall technical competency in website publishing
  • Experience in Google Analytics and digital advertising metrics (CTR, clicks, click tags, ad impressions) and IAB advertising standards
  • Solid experience in social media marketing and search engine optimisation
  • Experience in web hosting, web infrastructure and cyber security
  • Excellent English communication skills, personable and a team player
  • An excellent eye for visual / web design / creatives
