Johnson & Johnson Consumer, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is currently seeking an Associate Director, Marketing and Commercial Analytics for CBI (Consumer Business Intelligence) with Asia Pacific region coverage. We are looking for a strategic thinker and analytics expert to partner with local and regional business leaders and external partners to solve business questions through improved performance measurement, application of analytics and digital solutions.

This is a role with a focus on proactively identifying business opportunities, driving the foundational business performance and marketing ROI measurement programs for APAC region, engaging the Commercial Squads in identifying media and eCommerce opportunities and simulating optimizations, and maintaining or creating dashboards to drive insight democratization with enhanced UX/UI.

A large part of the role will also be driving measurement partnerships and capabilities external syndicated data providers, media agency, publishers, eCommerce/social media platform operators. He/she will also be working closely with technology team and provide advise on data strategy and requirements.

This person based in Singapore will serve as an internal consultant to partner closely with market, brand or franchise leadership and cross functional partners in our businesses spanning across consumer products, beauty, and self-care categories. This position plays a leading role in advising and counseling management in the development and evaluation of new and existing business strategies and tactics and as a result, shares accountability for business results. This person will report to the Asia-Pacific head of Consumer and Business Intelligence (CBI).

Responsibilities
The marketing and commercial analytics Associate Director is responsible for recommending actions to solve identified business issues or opportunities to drive company's brand-led growth by performing syndicated data sourcing, precise business performance tracking and automated reporting, and data analysis. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Data sourcing: Plan optimal syndicated data strategy, inspect and control data quality, negotiate with data partners, and manage budget
  • Performance tracking and performance tracking: Lead the business performance measurement and reporting to enable every-day data decision making for all employees.
  • Works closely and collaborates with global team, internal squad, and external Agencies around recommendations, test & learns, meta insights, and other opportunities
  • Insight democratization: Create, update, and maintain dashboards for various key stakeholders to enable data driven decisions
  • Data Analysis: Identify business opportunities/challenges through various analysis and propose actions to key stakeholders in marketing, customer development, RGM, finance, and other functions
  • Marketing Mix Modelling and Multi-Touch Attribution: Leads program through project management, validating models, and insights generation.
  • Marketing spend optimization: Drives marketing spend optimizations within brands to identify vehicles, publishers, or other activations with the highest ROI propensities.
  • External Partnerships: Works with agencies to provide feedback loop and include platform insights and recommendations in the Marketing Mix and MTA program that is delivered to the Commercial Squads.
  • Innovation: Onboarding new publishers, digital capabilities, technologies, and evaluating test & learns.
  • Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations, in diverse domains

  • People: Recruit, train, and lead marketing analytics team in various geographic locations
  • Communication: Present findings and make business recommendations to leadership team
  • Expected global travel: 10-20% (dependent on company travel guidelines and policies)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with preference on MBA/graduate degree
  • Strategic business acumen and focus on business results is required
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and data science
  • Strong project management skills with strong track record in driving multiple high-profile projects to successful completion, on time and within budget is required
  • Confident in dealing with large data sets, and data mining and data preparation methods
  • Data visualization skills and knowledge of associated products such as Tableau is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to improve organizational performance through the application of original thinking to existing and emerging methods or processes is required
  • Ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely is required
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and upper management to impact decision-making
  • Strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English - fluency in Chinese is recommended but not required
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive work experience of advanced Marketing analytics in a hands-on and consultative field is required
  • Work experience in consumer product, beauty, self-care, or retail is required
  • 5+ years of hands-on Marketing Mix experience is required
  • People & team management experience
  • Experience in communicating data insights to large matrix organizations, across geographies.
