Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager Office, the incumbent will have responsibility to plan, organize and direct the facility's products value stream to meet and exceed customer expectations in Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD & TAT)
Implement LEAN production systems and processes that align with the Repair Facility's vision and objectives while ensuring regulatory airworthiness and EH&S requirements compliance
Coordinate with other departments on issues like customer requirements, material support to ensure smooth operation of the workshop so as to achieve on time delivery
Meet key performance metric which include EH&S, Quality, Financial, Productivity, Cost and Delivery commitments
Establishment and execution of production budgets, cost control management, labor efficiency, deployment and productivity measurement, equipment capacity utilization & investment, rotable and inventory cost plans
Coach, counsel and appraise staff performance, handle disciplinary matters, identify manpower needs and develop talents
Build employees' capabilities through technical skill competency training and experience based learning
Lead the site's Lean Transformation journey, drive lean culture and increase value chain velocity through product and process improvements using lean
Partner with related parties to introduce and implement new repair capabilities
Drive behaviors through continuous improvement to strengthen a sustainable culture in Customer Satisfaction, EH&S, Quality, Employee Engagement and Learning
Requirements:
Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10 years relevant working experience out of which 5 years is in a operational managerial capacity
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with good problem solving skill and strong analytical ability
Proactive team-player with strong leadership qualities, drive and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast pace environment
Experience in aircraft engine workshop practices, maintenance and repair of gas turbine engines
Good understanding of project management methodologies/process flow/special processes like thermal spray, welding, NDT, machining and materials
Good understanding of relevant airworthiness and regulatory agencies requirements
