The Role Responsibilities
SCB FX/Rates/Credit Structurers are product specialists whose mandate is to promote the FX/Rates products both internally to FM sales and working with private side structurers for PF/CF deals as well as to our whole customer base (corporate, FIs and I&Is) Structurers need to work in close co-operation with Sales, Quant & Traders
Strategy

  • Structuring provides global coverage of the full spectrum of derivative products (from vanilla to exotic), through our network of product specialists located in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, India, Korea and U.A.E.
  • Responsible for facilitating FX/Interest Rate derivatives/Credit trades in the Bank through ideas generation, pricing support, sales & external client training and calibration or testing of systems.
Business
  • Idea Generation: Structurers support the sales in translating a specific need or view into the tailor made solutions/product that fits SCB appropriateness/compliance policy.
  • In collaboration with other product groups, we offer cross-asset and hybrid products and provide product expertise to sales, trading and clients.
  • Pricing Support for Sales both at the trade idea origination level and at execution time. Structurers can be authorized to execute transaction on behalf of the traders but their responsibility explicitly excludes any risk-management.
  • Structuring team is a global team hence best practice sharing, 24 hours deal watching, ideas exchange etc, a key component of the structurers daily activity. To encourage the Structuring team to act as a global team
Processes
  • Structurers are highly involved in Sales Internal training as well as seminars/training sessions offered to SCB customers.
  • Structurers are also involved with Quant in model testing/calibration and platform development.
People & Talent
  • Support and train any junior structurers and/or International Graduates that join the ASEAN structuring team
Risk Management
  • Adherence to all Group Policies and relevant legislations covering credit, operational, reputational risk among others
  • Commitment to Group Code of Conduct
  • Timely completion of all e-learning, attestations and requests for information
Governance
  • Advise and raise appropriate flags to respective risk heads as and when concerns or weaknesses are spotted and speak up / suggest improvements if warranted
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct .
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the S tructuring Team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Principles : Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment. *
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Embed Here for good and Group\'s brand and values in Singapore Structuring team; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures;
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years of experience in FX/ Rates/ Credit Structuring of Financial Markets Products to FM Sales.
  • Facilitate FX/Interest Rate derivatives/Credit trades in the Bank through ideas generation, pricing support, sales & external client training and calibration or testing of systems.
  • Pricing Support for Sales both at the trade idea origination level and at execution time.
