The Role Responsibilities
XVA portfolio is one of the most complex risk portfolios in FM having the highest number of risk factors interacting non-linearly with each other. As such, this role requires the analysis and management of the risks across all risk factors being traded within Financial Markets trading desks. The XVA Desks is set up as a risk-management utility with a mandate to minimize XVA PL volatility and mitigate XVA credit and market risk with no set budget target. In discharging the below stated responsibilities, he/she will need to evidence .
Strategy

  • Keen interest in risk management of complex non-linear risks i.e. gamma and cross gamma across macro risk factors being traded in Financial markets
  • Hands on technical experience in analyzing historical correlation across risk factors and come up with optimal portfolio hedging ideas
  • Daily PL Explain of XVA portfolio and studying historical dynamic evolution of the PL to assess the performance of hedges.
  • Strong intuitive understanding of multifactor quantitative models to assess high level strength and weaknesses of the modelling approach
  • XVA Pricing of new client trade having assessed all the onboarded XVA risks
  • Experience gained in structured trading environment i.e. FXO, IRO is desirable though not required.
Business
  • Achieving assigned full year objectives as per annual P3 document.
  • Increase the visibility of the bank through commercial, competitive pricing of XVA for our clients.
  • Deepen existing client relationships through effective pricing and risk management of XVA.
  • Collaborate with Sales/RM to identify new prospects and client opportunities for XVA management.
  • Explore new products and structures from XVA perspective and be involved with the New Product Process and ensure that it is within the risk framework and risk perimeters of the Bank.
  • Keep abreast of new XVA models as well as Capital, and Margin rules and help manage concomitant internal system developments.
  • Ensure alignment and adherence with prevailing regulations.
Processes
  • Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations.
  • Ensure embedding of Operational Risk monitoring as an integral part of the business process, and to diligently carry out the assigned role, if any, under Compliance Risk Management and Operational Risk Management Assurance.
  • Ensure that the business meets its obligations the prevention of money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place in collaboration with support functions.
  • Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review them to ensure that they reflect any changes in products, systems, policy and regulations.

  • Collaborate well with team members.
Risk Management
  • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks associated with the risk management of the XVA book.

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Willingness to \'speak up\' in the event of any realised or perceived breach of group conduct rules or laws by colleagues.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Comply with the PRA\'s five Individual Conduct Rules ("Conduct Rules") for Certified Persons.
Key Stakeholders
  • Trading, Sales, Relationship managers and Structuring.
  • Legal/GSAM for netting specificity, embedding risk mitigation into client agreements and documentations, workouts etc.
  • Finance/Risk Measurement/TRM for Capital including FRTB-CVA.
  • Credit & TRM for risk limits and management.
  • Support functions such as Back- and Middle-Office Office.
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group\'s brand and values in the SG FM/XVA team.
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Strong academic qualifications in a quantitative subject.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; familiar with financial modelling, derivatives modelling, stochastic calculus, stress testing.
  • Robust understanding of derivatives and structured products in FX, Rates, Credit, Equities or Commodities.
  • 4 plus years of relevant experience in the markets business working for Trading or Structuring.
  • Good communication skills; willingness to challenge and be challenged in a non-confrontational and constructive manner.
  • Team player with a self-starter attitude.
  • Capacity to work and make decisions under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
