All programmes are designed and developed in consultation with the industry to ensure relevance and currency.Job PurposeTo augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our us.As a senior member of the Corporate Services Unit, the incumbent shall provide strong support to Assistant Dean (Corporate Services), and leadership to manage a lean team to deliver the suite of corporate support services support and human capital management functions in the School.This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis in the first instance, with the prospect of a regular open employment contract thereafter subject to satisfactory job performance during the first 3 years.Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with an annual variable bonus which is subject to the incumbent\'s performance and the University/School\'s prevailing remuneration policies.The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner Head of Corporate Services in providing strong support to SCALE\'s senior management in delivering SCALE\'s key priorities to fulfil its primary mission. This involves assisting in formulating strategic directions and designing policies and procedures in collaboration/consultation with the relevant central admin units/key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of identified strategies, with an emphasis on fostering a productive and congenial work environment in the School.
  • Partnering with HRBP and with all stakeholders to ensure the School\'s human capital objectives are met with excellent service delivery, upholding/inculcating HR best practices and mitigating operational and people-risks at all times viz.
- deploy appropriate human capital strategies in managing people/operational risks;
- support the end-to-end hiring process and life-cycle events of administrative staff, including annual performance appraisal exercises;
- devise and implement creative employee engagement programmes, including conducting first day briefings for new hires;
- mitigate, mediate and/or resolve employee relations issues and people risks;
- address employee grievances and provide appropriate advisory/support;
- coordinate on staff training matters;
- design and implement business continuity plans and support crisis management activities.
  • Oversee all general administration initiatives and activities of the School in:
- general office administration, facilities management and events planning;
- providing secretariat support resources to the SCALE Management Board.
  • Drive service delivery excellence of the Unit by ensuring a well-controlled environment through optimising resources, processes and workflows to achieve sustainable operational efficiency.
Requirements:Academic & Professional Certification
  • A good bachelor\'s degree in any discipline from a reputable university
  • Strong English language proficiency is essential
  • IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications
Experience & Attributes
  • At least 10 years\' relevant working experience with sound working knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic and skilled people manager, able to lead and rally a team towards achieving common objectives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
  • Strong administrator who is resilient, resourceful with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  • Results-driven, self-motivated and highly disciplined
