OMERS Infrastructure manages approximately C$40 billion of investments on behalf of OMERS and institutional strategic partners across a diversified global portfolio that includes investments in clean energy, transportation and logistics, digital infrastructure, power and utilities, and other essential services.We are looking for a highly motivated Associate to join our Infrastructure team in Singapore. In this role, you will support OMERS Infrastructures continued pursuit and management of high quality infrastructure investments in Asia, with the goal of providing strong and consistent returns to our members.Youll be one of a small group of Associates on the team playing the critical role of supporting the research and analysis that helps to inform our investment decisions. We go above and beyond to protect and grow relationships by anticipating needs, being honest and considerate, and valuing all counterparties as genuine partners.Position ScopeReporting to a Director, the Associate will join a small, highly collegial team and be involved throughout the life cycle of investment in assets and their long-term management. The position will be based in Singapore. The Associate role is to support on origination, transaction and asset management related functions.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:Researching and analyzing financial statements, industry information, technical and financial data, and presenting conclusions to team members and managersIndependently developing financial models depicting an investment targets historical and projected financial results consistent with the teams evaluation of the investmentCritically reviewing, stress testing and commenting on financial models to assess the integrity of the model and the financial returns of investment opportunitiesWriting memorandums and presentations summarizing key findings from diligence findings, research, financial analysis and meetings with industry representatives, co-investors and external advisorsAssisting with asset management responsibilities by preparing analysis and responding to industry and company specific questions in respect of the portfolio companiesPreparing offer letters and other written correspondence addressed to external partiesActively researching prospective companies and industries to generate investment ideas for OMERS Infrastructure and identify important industry issues which are relevant to OMERS.Identifying and tracking information gaps in OMERS Infrastructures evaluation of investments and proposing solutions to address the information gapsCritically assessing documentation and other communications provided by vendors, company management and other professional advisors, and incorporating the relevant portions of this information into investment analysisPreparing OMERS Infrastructures due diligence questions for company management and external advisors and assisting in the preparation of all internal and external due diligence reportsIndependently leading valuation work streams for pursuits with limited oversight by senior team membersHelping foster an energized, proactive and entrepreneurial work environmentTo succeed in this role, you:Require advanced understanding of financial statementsDemonstrate a high degree of foresightLead due diligence work streamsRequire strong analytical, quantitative and financial modeling skillsRequire strong written, verbal and presentation skillsWork independently with minimal directionPossess good teamwork skillsHave excellent command of MS Office applicationsAt least 3 years of relevant buyside or sell side experienceAs one of Canadas largest defined benefit pension plans, our people-first culture is at its best when our workforce reflects the communities we live and work and the members we proudly serve.From hire to retire, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection process that extends all the way through your employee experience.
