Job Description


This course will introduce you to the science of building design and construction. You will develop your knowledge of building design principles and how design and actual construction impacts on building performance. The focus of the course is on how buildings interact with the environment. Topics covered include:

  • Thermal comfort and climate
  • Ventilation and indoor air quality
  • Passive and active environmental controls
  • Natural and artificial lighting
  • Acoustics
  • Energy
  • Water
  • Materials and wastes
  • Building performance evaluation systems
Classes are mostly conducted during the day between 8.30am to 6.30pm or weekday evening from 7.00pm to 10.00pm.Teaching information:- To teach the 6 required sessions of 3-hr lectures- To set, coach and mark assessmentsJob Requirements- Possess a Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or professional qualification in the relevant discipline.- Have at least 5 years of related working experience.- Have at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary level.- Able to teach 6 required sessions once a week, either on weekday evening or Saturday- To set, coach and mark all pieces of assessmentsWe regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
