Professional Communication Foundations aims to provide students with the foundation to the media and communication industries. There is a strong emphasis on interdisciplinarity and the importance of audience, purpose and context as essential structuring elements. Students will be taught the core concepts of communication, creative idea development, applied project work and industry practices, trends and tensions.The course prepares students on the operation of communication in various social, cultural, political, ethical and organisational contexts. The students will also examine the intersections between the advertising, journalism, media production and public relations disciplines.Job RequirementsA Ph.D or Master\'s Degree in related discipline from a reputable university or professional qualification in CommunicationsAt least 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level is preferred5 years of relevant work experience will be an added advantageMust be available to conduct a weekly 3-hour lecture for a period of 8 weeksMust be available to teach classes during the day between 8.30AM and 6.30PMWe regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
