Contract Duration\xc2\xb7 Tentative 26 May 2024 to 18 January 2025Working Location\xc2\xb7 Main: Toa Payoh Public Library(Temp staff will have to travel if there are programme in other public libraries)Working HoursYou will be required to work weekends. Below are the possible working schedules.(The shift pattern will be discussed upon resumption of the work schedule).Day / Normal Shift working pattern*Mon to WedRequired daily working hours (excluding break time: 9 hours)8.00am - 6.00pm /8.30am - 6.30pm /9.00am - 7.00pmThur to FriRequired daily working hours (excluding break time: 8.5 hours)8.00am - 5.30pm /8.30am - 6.00pm /9.00am - 6.30pmSat to SunRequired daily working hours (excluding break time: 6 hours)9.00am - 3.00pm1.00pm - 7.00pm*Staff can choose only 1 working pattern option listed above and stick to the pattern throughout the duration of the employment.*Staff may adjust their working hours to fulfil the required daily working hours while covering their respective programmes/events outside of the normal shift working pattern. They must keep their Reporting Officer (RO) in the loop for any changes.e.g. If staff is in charge of a programme that is happening between 7pm - 8pm, staff may work from 10:30am to 8:30pmAssociate Librarian is expected to travel to different libraries across Singapore to support programmes and services though the librarians main library will be at Toa Payoh Regional Library.(Temp staff will work from Monday to Friday. Temp staff will have to work on 2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday in a Month. They will be given day off if they work on weekend. (Example) 1 weekday off if work on Saturday/Sunday and 2 weekdays off if work on Saturday and Sunday)Offered Salary

  • Up to S$3,000 per month (Depending on qualifications & experience)
Requirements\xc2\xb7 Degree Holder in the Humanities Field / Preschool Educators without degree but with experience in Early Childhood Education/Ex MOE teachers will be considered\xc2\xb7 Experience in conducting programmes for children\xc2\xb7 Good communication & written skills in English and preferably (but not mandatory) in a vernacular language (e.g. Chinese, Malay or Tamil) to work on related materials.\xc2\xb7 Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, etc)\xc2\xb7 Coordinate and conduct physical and digital programmes & outreaches for children aged 0 to 6 yrs, teachers, parents. Include programmes such as Baby Lapsit, Jiggle Read and Rhyme, and Class visits etc\xc2\xb7 Create content such as programme packages, book displays, book recommendations, book reviews etc. to engage children aged 0-6 yrs, parents and educators.\xc2\xb7 Organise, co-curate and facilitate programmes for target service segments and relevant community partners (e.g. storytelling, bookclubs, community programmes).\xc2\xb7 Ensure that programmes & services are relevant and impactful through evaluation of participants feedback.\xc2\xb7 Ability to provide book recommendations through programmes, book reviews and book displays. Ensure that displays, presentations and recommendations are engaging to the users, including the tracking of the effectiveness of displays and pop-up projects.\xc2\xb7 Responsible for the quality and breadth of collection and programme in areas pertaining to the allocated target segment(s) in the branch
