Global Precious Metals is a niche player in the wealth management industry. The company services high net worth clients who want to allocate part of their portfolio to alternative assets, including physical precious metals (gold, silver, platinum and palladium), as \xe2\x80\x98wealth insurance\xe2\x80\x99. The company has a diverse global clientele ranging from high net worth individual, family offices, investment funds and precious metals trading companies.

We are looking for a highly driven candidate who will support the Operations Manager in executing precious metals trades. The selected candidate will be part of a fast-growing business, lean structured & dynamic team and report directly to the Operations Manager. The overall objective of the Operations team is to execute seamless trades through optimum utilization of business assets and strengthen the company\xe2\x80\x99s reputation as a reliable trading partner.

You will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end trade process and assisting in the assessment and implementation of trading strategies. Your work will also involve securing in-depth knowledge of the financial markets, performing trend analysis and assisting in the design of the risk management framework.

Core Responsibilities:

• Support in trade execution and ensure accuracy of trade reconciliation

• Execute trading strategies with precision

• Assess performance of existing trading strategies

• Track market development, interpret quantitative research / market reports to improve trading strategies

• Assist in devising hedging strategies and actively seek approaches to limit exposure to safeguard the company\xe2\x80\x99s assets

• Report trades and outstanding unprocessed trades periodically

• Perform trade and position reconciliation

• Liaise with physical trades stakeholders (refiners, metals desks, vaults and logistics) to facilitate execution of physical trades

• Process inbound-outbound shipments of precious metals
  

• Minimum 2 years of experience in business operations; at best, within precious metals / commodity trading

• Trading experience is a must; applicants with non-trading professional background but demonstrable personal experience will be considered

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in STEM, Economics, Finance or Business
  

• Expert level with MS Excel and proficient with Bloomberg

• Excellent analytical skills and an affinity for numbers

• Strong business acumen and an affinity for financial markets

• Knowledge of financial instruments in the commodities space

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under stress

• High level of reliability, professionalism and respect for confidentiality

• Rigorous sense of organization and keen eye for details

• Effective communication skills both with team members outside of the trading space and with senior management
