This is a key role to realise Transaction Banking\'s (TB) global strategy as well as Financial Institution\'s (FI) regional strategy to optimize use of FI and Corporate credit limits, TB\'s P&L, asset utilization and revenue growth.
It is a dedicated Sales role that will source and execute FI Driven Trade Loans (Primary), Secondary Market Trade Finance transactions, principally via MTLAs and MRPAs respectively, and Guarantee Reissuance
Primary ResponsibilitiesStrategic
Build and act as key contact for APAC TB FI Driven Trade.
Work closely with key stakeholders - products, credit, legal and trade ops in expansion of product capabilities.
Promotion of Secondary Market Trade Finance (ie.Risk Participations) for optimization of finite limits.
Build a diversified counterparty eco-system so that the desk isn\'t too reliant on a small universe of Banks/Investors.

Execution volumes aligned with annual KPIs
Focus on transactional and client group ROE
Customer:
Negotiation of industry standard master agreements
Work closely with FI RMs to understand opportunities that need to be tapped across APAC region
Raise MUFG\'s global profile and build contacts with external peers performing similar roles
Build solid relationships with key internal stakeholders (FI RM, Credit, FI RM, Ops, Legal).
Provide ad hoc insights on specific country or bank market pricing
People:
Act as a role model with other MUFG colleagues by adhering to all company policies / guidelines.
Other / Control
Ensure that internal procedures are robust and capture the risks appropriately
Coordinate with internal partners to ensure KYC completeness
Consolidate and maintain TFFI reporting on a timely basis
Job Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in trade sales or trade finance products
Minimum 3 years of experience focused on corporate banking or financial institutions
Degree qualified
Preference towards Trade Distribution experience
Prior experience negotiating master agreements
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence peers / partners
Excellent stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
Ability to work effectively cross culturally - Japan and within Asia Pacific
Self-starter with attention to detail
