[What the role is]
The Joint Ops Logistics Department is responsible for the management of emergency logistics plans, acquisition and management of resources across the agency. As an Assistant Manager/Manager in the Emergency Logistic Planning Branch, you are responsible for leading (upstream and downstream) planning, development, establishment and management of emergency operational plans. The jobholder will also coordinates operations, support operations between and across appointed divisions, under myriad operating environment so as to ensure continuous operationalisation of critical business functions and mission success.[What you will be working on]You will be responsible for the following:Provide leadership in strategic planning for the branch to ensure readiness in ops support of roles under myriad operating environmentLead in the development, establishment and implementation of contingency and business continuity plans, emergency plans for ops supportLead, review (and revise where necessary) and validate emergency plans and related work processes to ensure that plans are implementable and adequately agile to deal with variations of the scenarios to meet emergency preparedness and business continuity objectivesLead and oversee the coordination, status monitoring for ops support, and functions supporting myriad operating environment to ensure coordinated, smooth, efficient and streamlined operationsLead in the review and development of contracts to meet agency\xe2\x80\x99s strategic and operational objectives while complying to policies and government rules and regulations[What we are looking for]The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:At least 4-6 years of working experience in Emergency Planning and/or Business Continuity PlanningCertification in emergency/crisis management is advantageousAbility to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with affected internal and external stakeholdersProficiency in developing and implementing emergency response (ops support) plans, protocols, and proceduresDemonstrated skills in clear and effective communication during emergenciesCapacity to allocate and manage resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, supplies, and financesCapability to make timely and informed decisions under pressure, considering risk, impact, and available resourcesAble to structure, categorise information and reflect these in writing (e.g. for policies and planning)Versatile in both deskbound and operational workMature, independent and resourcefulSelf-driven and always ready to strive for improvementAble and willing to work on weekend and after office hours if neededAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessmentApplicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
