What the role is:The Joint Operations Logistics Department (JOLD) consists of two branches; Integrated Logistics Hub Branch and Emergency Planning Branch. As an Executive/Senior Executive, you will be involved in planning and execution of logistical supports, including but not limited to management of ops supplies across NEA departments/divisions as well as warehouse(s) in both peace time and crisis/emergency/pandemic.What you will be working on:You will be responsible for the following:Assist in the management of outsourced Integrated Logistics Hub and internal Emergency Warehouse, and ensure that all inventory (and its movements) are accounted forAssist to review plans to ensure sufficiency of ops supplies (Inventory management)Assist to review plan(s) and workflow(s) for \'right-the-first-time\' provision of ops supplies to end-users (Supplies management and last-mile delivery)Assist to monitor plan(s) for consumption of ops supplies (Forecasting)Assist to analyse and review financial impact of any proposed logistics changes or procurement modalities in relation to the items stored at the warehouses (Financial prudency)Work with relevant departments/divisions on repurposing ops supplies where applicable (Reverse logistics)Collaborate with Emergency Planning Branch (EPB) to review and document relevant procedures in relation to items stored at warehouse(s)Coordinate with other departments/divisions through EPB on logistical support for emergency/crisis/pandemic worksAssist in the procurement and purchasing of items in relation to JOLD worksWhat we are looking for:The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:At least 2 to 5 years of warehousing & logistics related work experienceCandidates with professional certification in Logistics and Warehouse Management (e.g. CPIM, CPL, CILT, CSCMP, ISM-CPSM, SCOR-P) will have advantageCandidates with experience in operating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g. SAP), or Warehouse Management Systems will have advantageCandidates with procurement-related knowledge will have advantageDemonstrate ability to collaborate with others and seek consensus for the benefit of the organisationProficient in MS office systems, i.e. usage of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessmentApplicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About National Environment Agency:The National Environment Agency (NEA) is the leading public organisation responsible for ensuring a clean and sustainable environment for Singapore.
