Responsibilities
As a Tableau Analyst - Data Visualization/ Dashboarding, you will be responsible for the following:

• Work closely with the analytics team to understand the data visualization requirements and business requirements.
• Designing, Developing, testing, and maintaining dashboards according to the business requirements and manage the business enquires on the dashboard.
• Building security metrics to the manage access requirements for various dashboards.
• Analyzing the data with business analysts to identify the trends and share insights.
• Producing development and support documentation and keep existing documentation up to date.
• Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
• Leverage on data analytics knowledge & experience to facilitate Business Users to uncover the business pattern.
• Able to clearly articulate the business objective and the corresponding technical work to accomplish this.
• Expect him/her to build up the required data visualization and reports in Tableau, deployment, and administration.
• Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
• Expect him/her to provide support on Tableau / UAT, as business is embarking on self-service journey for business intelligence platform.
• Managing users requests and user roles.
• Handling confidential data and information according to guidelines.
• Developing dashboards (different chart types, maps, and calculations) for analysis using Tableau from multiple production systems.
• Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
• Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.
• Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.
• Evaluating changes and updates to source systems.
• Training end users on new reports and dashboards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience working as an architect or a developer in BI visualization and analytics, preferably with experience in banking industry and/or data engineering space
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to act in a consultative manner with both business and IT leaders to align strategy. Frequently requires the candidate to explain complex technical constructs to senior leaders
• Strong problem-solving skills (not limited to gaps analysis, engineering, and architectural performance improvement) and ability to solve unstructured problem and challenge status quo
• Design and architecture experience in building data ingestion, data analytics and data consumption (via dashboards, Data as a Service)
• Strong hands-on experience on data modelling, Visualization tool ‘Tableau’ & SQL, rational databases, Modern databases.

• Working knowledge in python, Spark is desirable

• Working knowledge accessing Big data tech stack like Hive, Impala, Presto is desirable

• Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture
• Working knowledge with dashboard tools like Tableau is desirable
• Capable to handle multiple concurrent initiatives
• Experience in implementing, integration and/or maintaining suites of systems
• A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment models -CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub) is a must
• Experience in release management or production operations, leading teams performing systems automation and integration (leveraging an agile methodology / lean techniques)
