Overview:

We are looking for a candidate with deep sector knowledge within the construction and real estate sector, the candidate will play a pivotal in driving sustainability initiatives within the built environment, encompassing construction, real estate, and the entire value chain of our corporate clients

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Design and Innovation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative financial products and services tailored to the needs of customers in the built environment sector.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging financial instruments to drive sustainable finance solutions.

2. Sustainability and Transition Advisory:

• Provide sector advice and thought leadership to clients, helping them understand and navigate their transition.
• Stay informed about public policies, green building standards, emerging trends to offer strategic guidance.

Ability to work with data combined with sector experience to develop environmental performance projections.

3. Sustainable Finance:

• Work closely with customers and business units across OCBC global wholesale banking, particularly in the construction and real estate sector, to promote sustainable financing solutions including the structuring of sustainable finance deals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the value chain, from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to large multinational corporations (MNCs), to drive sustainable finance initiatives.

Qualifications

Reports to: Executive Director, Global Wholesale Banking Sustainability Office

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in the built environment, with a dedicated focus on sustainability.
• Demonstrated understanding of public policy, green building standards, and the ability to forecast building performance.
• A strong willingness to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving team environment.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making informed decisions in uncertain situations.
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to project oneself with confidence and competence.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the value chain, ranging from SMEs to large MNCs.
• A passion for driving positive change towards sustainability and acting as a change-maker in the industry.
