Job Description


Job Purpose:

The Finance and Admin Manager primary role\'s is to provide accounting and admin support in our Malaysia entities to manage daily operations and to implement initiatives to drive operation efficiency. The right candidate will also take up ad hoc projects as and when required by Financial Controller ASEAN.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead our finance team in Malaysia in the daily operation, finance and accounting matters of Malaysia entities.
  • Lead our Admin team in Malaysia in the day-to-day administration and organizational support to ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of Malaysia entities.
  • Group annual, interim and month end closing, ie month end journals preparation and schedules preparation for reporting to our HK Group.
  • Cashflow management include preparation of monthly cashflow forecast.
  • Support project account receivable and payable.
  • Liaising with auditors, company secretaries, tax agents, local banker, senior management and HK Group Finance on annual audit, SST tax return and Corporate tax return and withholding tax .
  • Ensure compliance to Malaysia Transfer pricing requirement, ie TP documentation etc.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate internal control requirements including financial and operational policies.
  • Monthly financial forecast and annual Budgeting preparation for Malaysia entitites.
  • Support sales team for tenders when needed .
  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned based on management requirement.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
  • Independent but at the same time a team player.
  • Good communication at all level and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical to details and organized.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
JOB SPECIFICIFICATION:
  • Graduate of BS in Accountancy, Finance or Business-related degree; CPA passer preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Candidates must have experience in leading a finance team in Assistant/ Managerial capacity at least 3-5 years.
  • Minimum of five years\' solid experience in the accounting field, prior experience in an MNC or sizable environment is definitely an advantage
  • Good understanding of local tax and overseas tax as this is a global group.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and generally accepted accounting principles, standards and practices
  • Audit experience is an added advantage
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, proficient in any accounting systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oracle system is a plus
