Division Description
Group Legal and Compliance (GLC) supports the Bank in all legal, regulatory and compliance matters. The division ensures that the Bank\'s businesses comply with policies, procedures and relevant laws, rules and regulations issued by Monetary Authority of Singapore and other local regulators.
Apart from being a legal advisor on litigation, trademark filings and other legality issues where relevant, GLC plays an important role as undertakers of the bank-wide regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering initiatives. This includes developing policies and procedures to manage and mitigate risks relating to money laundering and financing of terrorism, as well as monitoring, detection and combating of money laundering and financial crime activities.

Role Summary
Maintain the Financial Crime Compliance ("FCC") Surveillance program (transaction surveillance and customer name screening) through issuance of Group policies, procedures, and guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for FCC Surveillance program in ensuring consistent standard are achieved
  • Develop and maintain training programs on FCC Surveillance program
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc refresher training to various stakeholders
  • Coordinate on audit related matters and socialise at the Group level
  • Conduct periodic review and maintenance of name screening exclusion lists
  • Participate in FCC related projects
Qualifications
The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • A good university degree with min 5 years of relevant work experience in AML, risk, or compliance
  • Training experience with the ability to engage an audience and effectively communicate is preferred
  • Detail oriented and has good analytical skills
  • Proficient in writing with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven with high level of initiative and follow-through skills
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of AML regulations, trends and ACAMS Certification is an added advantage.
