Responsibilities
Follow existing recipes measure, weigh and prepare ingredients Bake different bread types, like sourdough, gluten free bread Mix various ingredients to create jams and fillings Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machine and other baking equipment Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use Display bakery items and products on the shelves and counters Replenish and refill display counters with fresh stocks of bakery items Answer queries from customers and assist in making recommendations according to customers' needs Assist with stock check and cashiering duties Basic housekeeping to ensure that store is clean and professional looking
Requires Skills and Qualifications:
Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role Experience with gluten free, refined sugar free and vegan baking a plus Understanding of food safety practices Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters Excellent time-management skills Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety precautions and regulation Can work on Weekends & Public Holidays * Salary range from SGD$2500-4000.
