Your Mission As Brand Manager SEA/India you are a creative thinker who can develop and execute new marketing strategies and initatives. You are business-oriented manager who value measuring and optimizing the effectiveness and return to your marketing program. You will create and implement marketing and business strategy to group our user bases and maintain the long-term brand health of franchises. You must be able to assess market conditions across the SEA/India markets and put together comprehensive plans with a broad view that encompasses brand partnerships, media, social media marketing and collaboration with Communications on PR and ambassador activity. This role requires a team player that is focused, driven, diplomatic and creative, with a strong passion for gaming. This person will be responsible for a wide range of brand development activities, including go-to-market strategic planning and execution for South East Asian and India. Responsibilities

  • Drive the overall planning and execution of the franchise commercial plan with the rest of the go-to-market organisation and close partnership with regional franchise and functional leaders
  • Working with APAC Insights and Analytics to unearth insights that form the basis for industry leading brand strategy and executions.
  • Responsible for the management of an allocated variable sales and marketing budget with an emphasis of building, managing, maintaining and explaining the program.
  • Collaborate with both communications and commercial functions to create scalable integrated marketing opportunities for managed brands. Aggregate input from cross functional teams (marketing, PR, social, community, etc) but be the single voice of truth on comprehensive return on investment and performance of SEAI campaigns and growth initiatives
  • Present marketing strategies and plans to key stakeholders within APAC and Activision Blizzard headquarters
  • Develop sound KPIs for planned executions and work with relevant internal functions (Insights & Analytics and Commercial) to assess effectiveness of campaigns for future continuous improvement.
  • Manage agency partners to design and manage best in class campaigns tied to thoroughly developed briefs tied to defined brand strategies.
  • Become the voice of the player internally sharing player sentiment towards managed brands, surfacing barriers to acquire and retain players and creating solutions to address opportunities.
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams to achieve overarching brand objectives. Manage SEAI franchise brand activities, live operations, publishing calendars and budget tracking for the brand. Facilitate and streamline processes established in coordination with global development and publishing.
  • Lead and encourage cross functional & development teams regarding franchise day-to-day operations, publishing tactics & business updates.
  • Develop and promote a deep understanding of the franchise ecosystem (gameplay, business, community, etc.) in the specific context of the SEAI market.
  • Generate and follow up on business reporting (in partnership with Insights and Analytics and finance) related to monetisation, in game metrics and franchise engagement.
  • Develop best in class acquisition and engagement campaigns from inception to launch. Including writing briefs, working cross functionally with creative teams, and tracking results.
  • Own goals and performance metrics for campaigns; monitor regularly to understand effectiveness of strategy and creative, making recommendations for continuous improvement through post campaign analysis and reporting.
  • Work with our internal and external media and creative agencies to develop and optimise highly relevant execution strategies, to achieve key business metrics.
  • Stay current with competitor launches, marketing programmes and sales performance in the region and beyond.
  • Support Annual Operating Plans in SEAI. Own translation of global brand strategies, in a manner consistent with fact-based business plan building.
  • Meet or exceed the Operating Income goals by taking a profit-maximisation approach to Marketing and Brand Management.
  • Clearly communicate strategies, risks, and opportunities for assigned brands to all levels of the organisation.
  • Drive and lead local partnerships with 1st party platform partners with a focus on delivery of added value over and above contractual agreement.
Player Profile
  • Has 5+ years of direct work experience in publishing, marketing, product management or strategic planning with a minimum of 3 years’ working in the video game, media, tech or Internet industry.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Demonstrated flexible thinking and highly adaptable.
  • Passion for data and consumer insight driven decision-making.
  • In depth knowledge of the SEA/India video games industry and broad understanding of channels within (social, media)
  • Strong format understanding (‘console’, ‘premium and free to play PC’ and ‘mobile’) wih strong emphasis on mobile capability.
  • A bold self-starter that is self-sufficient, and a highly motivated individual with a team-first mentality.
  • Experience with in-product customer journeys and analytics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
  • Strong proficientcy in knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Able to travel internationally if needed.
  • One additional language capability other than English from the following is highly desirable: Thai, Hindi, Chinese, Vietnamese, Bahasa
