Job ResponsibilitiesLeadership of the Business & Innovation team
Introduce or enhance initiatives that deliver memorable and unforgettable experiences
Understanding the visitors to attractions, anticipating their needs, and learning how these can be best fulfilled through new initiatives
Working with the people managers of the respective sub teams to ensure the teams run smoothly and maintain a harmonious working environment
Directly line manage 2-3 staff and ensuring these staff members are motivated to achieve excellence, and feel supported and equipped with the relevant information to carry out their duties effectively
Understanding the training needs of the team to ensure it can deliver and initiate training where applicable
Undertaking continuous evaluation and analysis of the Attractions offerings, making improvements where necessary
Business Management
Leading internal management processes ensuring strong working relationships with other departments within Marina Bay Sands such as Mall Management, Marketing, Communications, Legal, Procurement, Finance and HR.
Ensuring all requirements regarding legal and compliance regulations are met
Overseeing contracts with partners and external agencies
Business Development
Developing a business plan for Attractions, in close dialogue with the Director of Attractions
Setting targets for ticket sales for each of the attractions and managing the team to meet these targets
Leading on the development and implementation of new income streams
Lead the team, ensuring these staff members are alert to sponsorship and revenue opportunities, and are actively seeking revenue that supports the attractions
Audience Development
Working closely with Marketing and Communications on the development and implementation of a robust strategy for increasing visitation,
Understanding key target audiences, and implementing improvements to reach those audiences
Strategic Planning
Enhancing and improving existing attractions
Working with creative teams within Attractions on programming strategies, including the development of revenue-generating exhibitions, showcases and events
Identifying potential new attractions either for Marina Bay Sands as it stands today, or the new integrated resort which is in development.
Developing partnerships to support the Attractions business
Job RequirementsEducation & Certification
E.g. No formal education required
Experience
Minimum 5 to 8 years of professional experience and a demonstrable record of achievement in the attractions sector
Proven experience of business development and revenue generation in the attractions, cultural or hospitality sector
Demonstratable experience of developing audiences and hitting visitation targets
Demonstratable experience of finance and budget planning
Proven experience of managing people, staff development and team building
Proven experience of service excellence in the attractions or hospitality sector
Proven experience of managing ticketed attractions and programmes with set revenue targets
Other Prerequisites
Creative and positive orientation, focused on outcomes and solutions
Confident, outgoing and enthusiastic
Entrepreneurial and possessing a positive business mindse
Independent, and self-motivated
The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations

Work in the evenings and at weekends as and when necessary
