Job Purpose and Impact

Position Title: Business Controller

The Business Controller will lead a team of accounting and finance supervisors, accountants and other indirect staff to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of day to day accounting activities. In this role, you will contribute to establishing and maintaining accounting policies and fiscal controls, as well as prepare financial reports and safeguard the organization\'s assets.

Qualifications

MNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Chartered accountant or CPA
• Five years of supervisory experience
• Solid ERP knowledge
• Knowledge of trade finance on derivative or commodity trading

Key Accountabilities

• Execute moderately complex accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead all aspects of the day-to-day accounting operations required to support the business.
• Coordinate accounting processes that are executed by other accountants.
• Apply substantial understanding of accounting practices and procedures to guide direct reports on creating technical accounting report packages.
• You will lead and develop a team, exhibiting authority for talent management decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
