Support development of overall client account management strategy (including but not limited to supporting DMTM business and monitoring of campaign KPIs in along with the original expectations)
(35%) \xe2\x80\x93 Work with internal stakeholders in assessing quotes and client requests from technical perspective. This includes:
Manage all quotes for Japan, i.e. manage timelines, stakeholders, deliverables, perform triage, and communication with clients. Co-ordinate internal resources to ensure we have a multi-level client contact strategy.
Review information provided for quotations, including product spec, reinsurance arrangement, underwriting process, etc.
Support line manager with the risk assessment and triage to ensure compliance with internal risk policies and identify next steps to proceed with quotation
(20%) \xe2\x80\x93 Support the Director, Business Development in portfolio/treaty management. This includes:
Support Inforce Monitoring, MI Reporting, data requests, etc.
Support treaties and addendums review
(5%) \xe2\x80\x93 Work closely with broader teams in Singapore Branch:
Support with market research, e.g. benchmarking products, population statistics, inforce portfolio analysis, etc when required
Support information provision, both from language and technical perspectives, provided for internal assessment of business opportunities (DMTM campaigns and/or wider reinsurance opportunities, e.g. capital solutions)
Assist with communication between cedants and the company\xe2\x80\x99s Business Services teams to ensure smooth receipt and processing of data, bordereaux and accounts
Support ad-hoc projects as and when required.
Requirements
A qualified actuary or non-actuarial with at least 4 years of working experience in the reinsurance market in Japan with a focus on DMTM business, including campaign management
Demonstrable success in business development including new business growth and client management
Strong analytical skills, combined with sound judgement and commercial awareness, to produce justifiable and practical innovative technical advice even where information is sparse or not available. To reasonably balance the needs of customers and the company in the context of decision making and company strategy / business plans
Strong relationships with insurers in Japan
Fluent Japanese language capability \xe2\x80\x93 spoken and written
Fluent English language capability \xe2\x80\x93 spoken and written
Strong ability to manage and deliver projects to customers\xe2\x80\x99 expectations
The ability to communicate to technical and complex matters clearly and concisely to people from all backgrounds; both internal and external
