Business Development Specialist \xe2\x80\x93 South East AsiaCompany: Boeing Singapore Pte Ltd.Job ID: 00000433045Date Posted: 2024-07-18Location: SGP - Singapore, Singapore Qualifications:Boeing Singapore is looking for a Business Development Specialist to support our customer engagement activities in South East Asia, as part of our Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) team. The position will be located in the Boeing Singapore Office.This person will help to facilitate our regional business strategy and customer understanding by developing good customer relationships, identifying customer requirements, and advocating Boeing solutions. They will also strive to achieve alignment between our customers, business unit and country teams, with the role expected to focus on supporting government products and services across the region.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:The Business Development Specialist will leverage their understanding of our defense customers and local defense industry throughout the South East Asian region to:

• Assist in the planning, preparation and coordination of Boeing\xe2\x80\x99s participation in air and trade shows throughout the region including the coordination of meeting schedules, development of meeting invitations, briefing papers, and competitor intelligence.
• Support campaign activities, development of weekly reports, campaign and gate reviews by integrating customer needs with Boeing solutions.
• Develop customer relationships at Staff Officer / Action Officer level that proactively identify business opportunities and promote the value of Boeing\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio and partnership.
• Balance enterprise, business and customer goals to assist the development of successful business strategies and sales campaign priorities for each country (e.g. Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines & Vietnam).
• Be consultative and highly responsive to customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs for support.
• Identify additional opportunities for Boeing to meet the Long-Range Business Plan (LRBP).
• Advocate for Boeing by interfacing directly with customer representatives and influencers.
• Provide guidance to teammates regarding the customer and business environment in South-East Asia.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years working within the defense community of a SE Asian country
• Basic understanding of National Defense operational, sustainment and acquisition processes
• Basic knowledge of defense industry roles and responsibilities
• English language conversation-level proficiency

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5+ years Defence service and/or Defence industry employment
• Direct experience with regional Defence Force operations (e.g. operations, maintenance, logistics)
• Direct experience with Defence planning and knowledge of acquisition processes
• Familiarity with US or other international corporation business practices
• Existing customer networks and relationships across the Defence community that are complementary to the role of Business Development Coordinator for South East Asia.

Location:The selected candidate will be required to reside in Singapore and work on-site at the Boeing Singapore office and expected to travel as required to other SouthEast Asian countries e.g. Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
