This newly created role is an exciting and vital position with visibility and exposure to multiple parts of VMware. Reporting to the APJ Cloud Services Director – Strategy, Planning & Operations (SPO), it will partner with key leaders in the business as well as being involved in broader APJ initiatives. You will have the ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment, and bring your curiosity and drive to solve new problems.

• Over the first 6-12 months you will be instrumental in building mechanisms to help scale the VMC on AWS business. You will work with sales leadership and field teams to help define and shape how we go to market, creating business insights for key decision making.
• Within 90 days of joining the team, you will help create and deploy APJ VMC on AWS wide reporting and actionable insights to accelerate growth.
• You will work closely with Sales, Finance and internal Cloud operations to provide day to day operations support for the VMC on AWS portfolio.
• You will have the chance to a apply blend of expertise in go-to-market business and operations acumen, analytics, communication and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with the Cloud SPO Director driving operational excellence across all sales processes
• Being a champion Business Partner to the APJ Senior Director for VMC on AWS Senior Director, and other members of Senior Leadership in the APJ Cloud business
• Managing the business with actionable insights to drive growth and execute business strategy
• Owning and driving key process including forecast, pipeline, planning, territory allocations and quota
• Supporting the operational business cadence including forecast review, pipeline review and deal reviews
• Performing business analysis, providing valued advice and support to the leaders and their teams
• Supporting key APJ projects and execution initiatives.
• Building, maintaining and developing a strong brand for the function within the APJ Cloud business.

You will need:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with track record of presenting to senior management
• Strong SFDC, Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Passion for your work, and be detail-oriented, analytical and demonstrate strong problem solving skills
• To establish credibility with the sales organization, and external partners, reflecting the values of VMware.
• To ensure ensuring cross functional teams are engaged and part of the effort.

The hiring manager is Ahu Anayurt, Director – Strategy, Planning and Operations for the APJ Cloud business. She has been with VMware for over 4 years, spending most of her career in the technology industry. The global team is spread throughout VMware offices including Palo Alto, CA, Austin, TX, Cork, IE, and Singapore.
