- Reporting to the Group Category Manager
- Responsible for sourcing, buying, merchandising and attainment of sales, profit budget, Market share for the portfolio under your care
- Liaise with suppliers on the negotiation of prices, products and promotions; as well as with business units on operational matters
- Work with various stakeholders (both internal and external) for the end to end of the products under your care
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the FMCG
- Data-driven decision making
- Comfortable with numbers and strong data analysis skills
- System knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office
- Highly customer-oriented, motivated, meticulous and results oriented
- Resourceful and problem solver,
- Excellent negotiation and communications skills
- Able to make work independently and as a team player
- Experience in the retail sector will be an added advantage
