DESIGNATION : Category Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Group Category Manager
• Drive financial results for the portfolio within the International Sourcing department
• Responsible for sourcing, buying, merchandising and attainment of sales, profit budget and market share for the portfolio under your care
• Liaise with suppliers on the negotiation of prices, products and promotions; as well as with business units on operational matters
• Work with various stakeholders (both internal and external) for the end to end of the products under your care

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent in related fields
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the FMCG
• Data-driven decision making
• Comfortable with numbers and strong data analysis skills
• System knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office
• Highly customer-oriented, motivated, meticulous and results oriented
• Resourceful and problem solver,
• Excellent negotiation and communications skills
• Able to make work independently and as a team player
• Experience in the retail sector will be an added advantage
