Pratt & Whitney has been operating in Singapore for more than 30 years, making it one of the pioneers in the development of Singapore's world-class aerospace industry RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for leading repair operations cells and meeting the required operations metrics and goals. Lead the repair cells workforce to meet cell targets and goals for quality and on-time delivery, as well as drive root cause analysis when targets are not met. Implement production and overtime schedules and procedures, as well as allocate manpower and resources to maximize productivity, while maintaining employees' morale and satisfaction of the cells. Control production activities, material flow and inventory used by the repair cells to achieve cost, quality and delivery targets. Ensure compliance of standards drive CORE/continuous improvement, EH&S and Ethics culture in the cells as well as assume roles in CORE/continuous improvement & EH&S sub-committees. Lead and supervise all Assistant Foremen, Workshop Engineers, Technicians and Inspectors in the repair cells, as well as develop them towards a self-directed and multi-skilled workforce through planned skills training. Assist Department Manager in all cost issues related to the cells and data analysis to meet company's revenue/profit goals and achieve cost reduction. Interface with the various business functions such as Engineering, Quality, HR, Customer Service and Materials to achieve repair cell goals and company's objectives. To conduct performance reviews on a regular basis in order to facilitate or maintain a high operating efficiency for the repair operations cells. Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager. REQUIREMENTS Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Production Engineering with 5 to 7 years of relevant. experience. Experience in aircraft engine workshop practices and maintenance & repair of gas turbine engines will be advantageous. Good working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Analytical with strong leadership and supervisory skills. Highly motivated with a strong drive for success.
