What the role is:Centre for Foundational Studies - Programme Chair, Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) as the Programme Chair. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and academic excellence of the PFP. This role requires a leader with a passion for education and a commitment to student success.What you will be working on:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the PFP.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the PFP curriculum.
• Ensure the quality and relevance of the program to meet academic standards and student needs.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage and mentor PFP students and staff.
• Collaborate with Schools, corporate departments and external stakeholders.
• Monitor student performance and implement initiatives to enhance student success.
• Manage the program budget and resources effectively.
• Stay abreast of educational trends and best practices to continuously improve the PFP.
• Review the admission pathways for the PFP to support cluster-based admission and Full Subject Based Banding (FSBB).
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the branding and visibility of the PFP.

What we are looking for:

• Qualification in Education or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an educational institution.
• Experience in curriculum development and academic administration.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Competency in branding and marketing educational programmes.

• Experience in managing foundation programmes or similar initiatives.
• Familiarity with the needs and challenges of polytechnic students.
• Innovative approach to teaching and learning.
