Job Description


Core Function:

The Centre Manager (based in Upper Thomson) is responsible for overseeing the effective running of SUN-DAC. He/She will also be supporting the Programme Head in planning and implementation of programmes and services to ensure clients receive quality day care and support.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Shares in the planning and overall management of SUN-DAC through the Leadership Team.
  • Uses an asset-based community development model to develop relationships of trust and mutual respect that will aid in the integration of SUN-DAC\xe2\x80\x99s clients in the community.
  • Oversees, cultivates and steward relationships between SUN-DAC and its donors and volunteers.
  • Recruits, orients, supervises and evaluates volunteers for various projects.
  • Reviews budgets and grant proposals for SUN-DAC\xe2\x80\x99s programmes and services.
  • Interprets the vision and mission of SUN-DAC to the community through direct involvement with public and private groups and networking with other social service agencies.
  • Oversees and supervises the administrative and training sides of SUN-DAC.
  • Ensures case management Standards of Practice (SOP) are adhered to.
  • Upholds professional standards and quality of case management.
  • Identify service gaps together with the case management team and leads the team in developing plans to close the gaps.
  • Oversees and supervises the case management team.
  • Shares in the planning and overall management of SUN-DAC through the Leadership Team.
  • The case management managers based in the Upper Thomson DAC Centre will be reporting to you.
  • You will also serve to update and complete the EPES Submissions, ESMS (SGE System), DDR Card (EPES system) and Verify the clients\xe2\x80\x99 records before submission.
  • You will update Monthly meeting and board meeting stats on no. of clients for respective centres.

Core Work Requirements: Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in social work, administration or related field.
  • Training in leadership, supervision and planning preferred.
Experience:
  • A minimum of three years of experience working in the sector preferred.
  • Must be computer proficient.
Special Skills:
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, management and leadership.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work effectively with the community and stakeholders;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, and the public. Must be self-directed and work independently.
Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to attend community meetings, training events and agency meetings.

Working Hours: Full time; 40 hours per week; with the ability to work flexible hours depending on needs and events
