Roles & Responsibilities My client is currently looking for an individual to closely support and act as Deputy to the Director for APAC to manage the delivery of significant portfolio of construction projects across APAC as the organization scale their cloud capacity at a rapid rate RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the regional execution leadership team in developing and embedding an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model for the region and reporting cadence to the Senior Leadership team
Reviewing of all capital funding request and project stage gates to ensure compliance with standards and that cost and schedule efficiencies are being realized
Lead collaboration with Center of Excellence team in the USA through a "hub and spoke model" across a wide range of improvement initiatives
Champion excellence of project planning & delivery in region
Regional project reviews - India, SEA, NEA, ANZ. Provide guidance, advice and input into project reviews
Lead Regional Execution (RET) Meetings and review of weekly and monthly RET reports to identify common issues or risks/ support requests for escalation
Lead and support deep dive reviews e.g. issues identified for escalation and support through weekly RET meetings or other requests
Review and promote consistency of RET and standard reporting including Metro execution strategy, Pre-construction projects and those In-flight. Focus on any change / new issues in week requiring additional support
Drive consistency and communication of lessons learnt and best practice across APAC in DCD with a focus on 5 key pillars - safety, schedule, cost, quality, sustainability
Support collaboration across functional leads in APAC - increased liaison and relationships across the functions
Provide coaching and support to project leads; identifying areas for support e.g. Written and verbal communication to drive rigor, ensure consistency and succinct reporting. Provide coaching on communication skills required with different project stakeholders
Provide support and undertake safety walks and reviews across projects as required and on a regular basis
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
15 years of progressive responsibility in development and delivery of complex capital projects and programs
Bachelor\'s Degree or Equivalent in Engineering or Construction
Prior experience in datacenter construction, Hi-tech complex i.e. Pharma, Hospitals, Labs (heavily MEP focused vs residential / retail) projects or Hi-tech manufacturing including understanding of commissioning, completion and handover
Business management experience in construction sector including P&L responsibility, strategy and operational management experience
Strong skill in data analytics and project planning
Very strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
